Abstract

This paper investigated lockout action and service delivery in manufacturing sector. Industrial disputes such as lockout action, whenever or wherever it happens tends to have debilitating psychological effects on the workers involved; conflict usually have negative impact on the morale of employees. A sudden outbreak of conflict changes work performance and/or personal behaviour that could signal the beginning of problems at the workplace. The findings were made: That lockout actions influence quality service delivery and leader style as a moderating effect lockout action and service delivery. It was therefore, recommended that government should enforce and ensure that Nigerian labour laws are complied with by all company management/executives, setting up of good negotiation panel/communication network on matters concerning terms and conditions of employment and performance of the organization.
