challenges faced by African countries in maintaining effective border security and explores the
implications of inadequate border management. Africa's vast geographical expanse, diverse terrain,
and extensive coastlines present significant challenges to achieving robust border security. To
address these challenges, African countries need to prioritize comprehensive border security
strategies. Strengthening institutional frameworks is crucial for enhancing border management
capabilities, equipping border security personnel, and establishing specialized units dedicated to
border security operations. The study further highlights potential strategies and recommendations
for enhancing border security in Africa Application of modern technology is another vital aspect of
effective border security. Deploying modern surveillance systems, such as radar systems, drones,
