DRUGS ABUSED AMONG YOUTHS AND THEIR VOLCANIC DANGERS IN NIGERIA: WHICH WAY OUT?

Abstract

The study examined drugs abused among youths, their volcanic dangers and the ways out of same in Nigeria. In doing so, it explained the concept of drug abuse, types of drug that are commonly abused, and crimes as well as those health challenges that arise from same in Nigeria. Social constructionist and genetic theories were used to address crimes and health challenges that are associated with youths who abused drugs in Nigeria. In the circumstances of overcoming the above challenges, the study proffered ways out of same, which include among others that government at all levels, should improve on empowerment/employment opportunities for the youths in Nigeria.
